interesting contrast

Yes it's a cut and paste:

Two Houses Side by Side. Guess whose houses these are.

You may be surprised. Maybe you won't.
This is about more than houses read it through.
House
#1 A
20 room mansion (not including 8 bathrooms) heated by
natural gas. Add on a pool (and a pool house) and a
separate guest house, all heated by gas. In one month
this residence consumes more energy than the average
American household does in a year. The average bill
for electricity and natural gas runs over $2400 per
month. In natural gas alone, this property consumes
more than 20 times the national average for an
American home. This house is not situated in a
Northern or Midwestern 'snow belt' area. It's in the
South.

House #2
Designed by an architecture professor at a leading
national university. This house incorporates every
'green' feature current home construction can provide.
The house is 4,000 square feet (4 bedrooms) and is
nestled on a high prairie in the American southwest. A
central closet in the house holds geothermal
heat-pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300
feet into the ground.

The water (usually 67 degrees F) heats the house in the winter and cools it
in the summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as
oil or natural gas and it consumes one-quarter
electricity required for a conventional
heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is
collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon
underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks
and toilets goes into underg round purifying tanks and
then into the c istern. The collected water then
irrigates the land surrounding the house. Surrounding
flowers and shrubs native to the area enable the
property to blend into the surrounding rural
landscape.

HOUSE #1 is outside of
Nashville , Tennessee ; it is the abode of the
renowned author, filmaker, lecturer and
'environmentalist ' Al Gore.

HOUSE #2 is on a
ranch near Crawford , Texas ; it is the residence of
the President of the United States , George W.
Bush.

An 'inconvenient truth.'

That can't be right, George W's house runs on "dirty coal" powered electric plants and is heated with hate and burning oil fields. You must have got those 2 mixed up....

Al Gore would never do anything to hurt the environment and increase global warming.

Or did G.W. create global warming and the wise Al Gore educate us on it?

It figures that he would have a house like that while telling me to use those damn energy saver lights that go dim after a month or so... 5 yrs my butt. That just shows that even he knows man made global warming is a big hoax. what an ass......

The interesting part is that Bush bought the Ranch at the urging of Rove and his other handlers, to give off the illusion he is a "down to earth, traditional ol' cowboy."

Bush purchased the land shortly before the 2000 election was completed. The paint had barely dried before he walked into it for the first time after 'winning' the 2000 election.

For a house built completely as a PR platform, I'm not surprised it has those systems in place. On the other hand, have an energy efficient home and recycling some gray water doesn't make up for a completely lack of regard for the environment or wildlife throughout his 8 years in office.

That's actually who I was referring to. Thus why I quoted Cool Beans' part where he was talking about Gore.
