Ice reports?

I saw some skaters on oldham pd in Pembroke yesterday, but no flags. I hope to hit some local ice on Sunday. How's the ice in your neck of the woods?

Local pods ( North Reading and Haverhill) have anywhere from 3" to as much as 6" all depending on how hard they were hit by the wind... Most of the lakes region smaller N.H.) lakes have safe ice for foot traffic.. but caution must be used because of the wind factor...the big lake( Winni) caught all the way to Rattle snake on Wednesday..

I've seen foot prints out to the middle and then a big water spot where you can see that water definitely came up through cracks and then foot steps with a wider gait back to shore.

Just because they live near harvard doesn't mean they're scholars… I drive by it almost every day from the elevated pike to the Allston tolls and am always amazed at the amount of tracks going across the river.

I just checked the snake eyes web cam for
winni and the wind has ripped up the ice... the rest of the bays remain frozen..

Checked out Webster, pretty nasty with the wind today. Some safe ice in coves but not the whole lake. We're gonna try there tomorrow.

theres good ice in northern CT, and good pike reports so far. PLUS- the state stocked trophy seeforellen-strain Browns into several lakes (like 15-20 pounders) that would be interesting to pull through a 6" hole

Little Lake Sunapee is full of rainbows, small mouth, and perch and has plenty of safe ice that is 6-8 inches thick (New London, NH)

Haha, yup, I was perch/pickerel master, the sculpins of the ponds. The guy 20 yds from my set put on a clinic, with 7 bass from 2-5 lbs. ahhhh, fishin. Oh yeah, ice was 4-5" with 4wheelers aplenty making their way around. I think I'll be at it again next weekend.

Forge Pond. I never liked the looks of that one. It's essentially two rivers that merge (French's and Drinkwater) and Forge pond is like a wide river. Mostly slow moving water. I don't do moving water.

All the lakes up my way have a good solid 6-8" of black ice on them.
