Biden brilliantly eloquent on the virus

Joe Biden is totally ready for the debates, what eloquence and command of the language.

From my perspective (wanting Trump to get re-elected), there was nothing wrong with it, it was perfect.

From your perspective (desperately hoping Biden wins), there were a few wrinkles.

He corrected a date off by one year and mashed two words together, I do it all the time. Big whoop.

Joe can barely remember his name and Trump can’t stay on topic. The debates are going to be a ratings gold mine. Wait til Joe loses his temper and exchanges insults with the Donald! It will be just what we all need.👌

Biden will challenge Trump to push ups....

Trump will say "OK Joe, you go first"...

Biden will get on the floor and start doing sit ups...

wrong, as usual.

i actually go out of my way to avoid listening to trump, i can’t take the meandering and the narcissism. i change the channel if possible.

i have seen more than a few clips of biden in the last few months. even in friendly environments with absolutely zero challenging questions, he’s wandering, tired, and feeble. not every time, but enough where any rational person watching, concedes what he’s seeing.

Somebody told him to thank cashiers and clerks, so instead of going on stage and saying “thank you cashiers and clerks” he said “somebody told me to thank cashiers and clerks.”

Trump doesn’t even understand why he’s repeating what he’s repeating.

for all of trumps flaws, no one watches him speak and think so he belongs in a nursing home. An institute for those with limitless narcissism maybe, but not a nursing home.

biden looks more and more like someone who should be in Miami Beach, playing shuffleboard, wearing knee high white socks, eating dinner at 4:00.

He talks like he stopped going to school in the 5th grade. So which is better a smart person who flubs the English language or screws up a date or a person who doesn't know how to spell, lies, doesn't go to his briefings, etc.

Seems like you have TDS now trying to constantly defend him.

Always well spoken, isn't he.
But the media let's the comics handle it, can you imagine the screaming if the media put it on the nightly news like Faux

And before he started failing he knew how to operate an umbrella

That video is so funny, sadly it’s just the tip of the iceberg and if you put one together on lies, mistruths and misrepresentations it would have to be a mini series as it would be far too long for a single video.

Biden realizes that people in government have important jobs and believe in what they are doing.
Trump thinks they all are political actors with agendas.
And plotting against him.

I agree a smart person who flubs public speaking is better. I'm not sure I see the evidence that Biden is smart, especially now. He spent his career in the Senate known only for (1) running for president, (2) plagiarizing, and (3) playing the race card when it suited him (McCain and Romney "want to put y'all back in chains", yes that's very smart). He's a political hack who has been there forever and done almost nothing.

"Seems like you have TDS now trying to constantly defend him"

You're the one who automatically equates criticism of Biden, with defense of Trump. In your TDS-ravaged mind, fairly criticizing Biden is the same as defending Trump. Those two things are distinct, but you can't see it. Everything has to be about Trump.

You've seen me bash Trump again and again, so you're just lying now because you have no other cards to play. You've come a long way Paul, from when you used to challenge me in an interesting way.

You criticize Biden over some petty things that Trump does day in and day out (and worse). I don't think you need to criticize Trump daily but sure seems hypocritical to me.

You bash trump for how he says things - not his policies.

I don't need any other cards to play bc you support a vile, lying, person who cheats on his wife. There were 10 other Rep. who would have gotten you the same judges.

Trump is our Pres. but you try to defend him by equating what he said about Corona to what Pelosi or de Blasio said as if they are the Pres, their words had the same impact or they got the same briefing. The latest is that Trump was notified about corona as far back as Nov. Imagine how much better things would be now if he acted and started the ball rolling.

Maybe we should go back to the days the discussions here were about the important stuff like Obama's tan suit or how he insulted the military by saluting w/a coffee cup.

Interesting
The most rabid Trump defender claims that Biden has no valid political experience.
Just what was the current occupant known for?
Tweeting?
Birtherism?
The Central Park Five?
The Apprentice?
His wives?
His "wealth"?
The books he "wrote"?
Russian money?
The money daddy gave him?
The people he defrauded?
The lies he has told in office?
Ignoring a virus?

Statement just issued by Joe Biden. Can anyone ever imagined President Trump writing something similar to this.

“Today, Senator Sanders announced he was suspending his campaign. Bernie has put his heart and soul into not only running for President, but for the causes and issues he has been dedicated to his whole life. So, I know how hard a decision this was for him to make — and how hard it is for the millions of his supporters — especially younger voters — who have been inspired and energized and brought into politics by the progressive agenda he has championed. Bernie has done something rare in politics. He hasn’t just run a political campaign; he’s created a movement. And make no mistake about it, I believe it’s a movement that is as powerful today as it was yesterday. That’s a good thing for our nation and our future.

Senator Sanders and his supporters have changed the dialogue in America. Issues which had been given little attention — or little hope of ever passing — are now at the center of the political debate. Income inequality, universal health care, climate change, free college, relieving students from the crushing debt of student loans. These are just a few of the issues Bernie and his supporters have given life to. And while Bernie and I may not agree on how we might get there, we agree on the ultimate goal for these issues and many more.

But more than any one issue or set of issues, I want to commend Bernie for being a powerful voice for a fairer and more just America. It’s voices like Bernie’s that refuse to allow us to just accept what is — that refuse to accept we can’t change what’s wrong in our nation — that refuse to accept the health and well-being of our fellow citizens and our planet isn’t our responsibility too. Bernie gets a lot of credit for his passionate advocacy for the issues he cares about. But he doesn’t get enough credit for being a voice that forces us all to take a hard look in the mirror and ask if we’ve done enough.

While the Sanders campaign has been suspended — its impact on this election and on elections to come is far from over. We will address the existential crisis of climate change. We will confront income inequality in our nation. We will make sure healthcare is affordable and accessible to every American. We will make education at our public colleges and universities free. We will ease the burden of student debt. And, most important of all, we will defeat Donald Trump.
At this moment, we are in the middle of an unprecedented crisis in American history. There is enormous fear and pain and loss being felt all across the country. There are also untold stories of heroism — of nurses and health care workers and doctors and first responders and grocery store workers and truck drivers and so many others on the front lines of this crisis. Putting their own lives in danger for the rest of us. If we didn’t know it before, we know it now: This is the backbone of our nation.

Our first job is to get through the immediate crisis threatening the public health and getting into the pockets of America’s workers. But we also need to take a hard look at what we need to fix and change in this country. Many of the biggest cracks in the social safety net have been laid bare — from health care to paid sick leave to a more extensive and comprehensive system of unemployment benefits. We will need to address these. Just as we need to address rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure. And we all know — the clock is ticking — we don’t have a moment to waste in combating the climate crisis.

As friends, Jill and I want to say to Bernie and Jane, we know how hard this is. You have put the interest of the nation — and the need to defeat Donald Trump — above all else. And for that Jill and I are grateful. But we also want you to know: I’ll be reaching out to you. You will be heard by me. As you say: Not me, Us.

And to your supporters I make the same commitment: I see you, I hear you, and I understand the urgency of what it is we have to get done in this country. I hope you will join us. You are more than welcome. You’re needed.

Together we will defeat Donald Trump. And when we do that, we’ll not only do the hard work of rebuilding this nation — we’ll transform it.”

find a post from me criticizing obama for his suit, i’ll give you my 401k. my issues were about real
stuff that matters.

doing a lot of lying lately Paul.

I criticize biden for petty stuff? he plagiarized an englishman’s speech. he torpedoes Borks nomination because of
politics. he accused Clarence Thomas of not being trustworthy around women ( that’s not playing the race card). He said that republicans want to put blacks in chains, you tell me, paul, did biden say that or not? is that what republicans want, you think? or was that a disgusting and divisive thing to say?

So Biden's verbal screw ups are "issues that really matter" when Trump basically does the same thing but is a vile, lying person? We have a difference of the important stuff these days. So again, you equate what a Dems. says and get your panties in a bunch but when a Repub. says something you are strangely quite. Why is it disgusting and divisive when a Dems. says something but ok for the Pres. of the US to say it is not?
