Metal-less Swimmer

Since I do not have a lathe, and the mental images keep crowding my head. I asked Ted if he could turn me an egg. I wanted to make a swimmer that has a smaller profile that would swim with a tight wiggle. I cut the face the way I did on some others, primed, put some hooks in and tested it out. Without any lead it was a turd, after moving some around I settled on two shots right in the center behind the belly hook. What I got was something totally unexpected. But nice! This eggo swims naturally at first on its way down to about 2ft, then it only wiggles for about 3 or 4 kicks and then just glides for a bit. The wiggle comes back and then goes away again. Looks just like some bait swimming in current trying to hold position. Please ignor the paint, not too serious about that yet. Also waiting on some hardware for the line tie. This is another screwed plug.

Neat little plug, and I really like the paint. That fade out yellow stripe effect is cool.

Thank you, I wish I was gonna be the first to fish it but I am giving it to a buddy who built my son and I awesome rods over the winter.

I got out to test this one today, Ted(the greek) lent me a danny body also. I tried it with a cut face on the original size and no action at all. I went back and cut it just before the hump and swam it. Needed some lead also, but finally got what I wanted. It swims like a shallow running shad rap with a very tight wiggle the whole way back.

Hey Bill,
looks awesome, hope you made a few, just put one in the package when you send the tails.

Almost looks like a handcarved tongue on that second pic.

Actually, I am done for now until I get you squared away.

Will do on the plug.
