Gliadin Protien

Back in the 70's ...doing a little GENE splicing trick in the lab

Horticultural Scientists created a new strain of WHEAT that contained
Gliadin protein that binds to your Opiate receptors basically stimulating your appetite
artificially (similar to cannabis) from eating modern wheat products.

You cannot blame the Farmer because they now had a plant that could produce
ten times the yield and the reason they grow wheat is for the MONEY not
to promote health.

Now combine that Gliadin protein with all the other APPETITE stimulants....
and HUSTON we have a problem ......i can't fit into my space suit...-LOL

Modern wheat a "perfect, chronic poison," doctor says - CBS News

Yes there is a new book called Wheat Belly that explains everything.
Problem is wheat is in everything and it's hard to find a palatable
wheat free diet. Wheat is one of the reasons for the beer belly.

Talking no that's inCorrect

you have to DRINK Beer for Breakfast......
(this way you have all day to digest it)

because (BEER) it is the SLOWEST -> to digest of ALL

you never get to burn the calories of beer since
your asleep, so the beer gets stored as fat....

i SUGGEST that we as a SOCIETY have got it backwards
we need to turn Beer establishments, taverns and Bars
Into Breakfast restaurants.... and sing the beer for Breakfast Song
then you leave in broad daylight to go work with a smile on your face.

they probably saw rats get huge and then be so hungry for more rat food it was insane...

so, they said, "if only we could gene splice our current rice to
have this new kind of protein in it... then we'd get rich" !

but try and remove wheat from your diet and it's nearly impossible...
as it's in or part of everything.

but that's exactly what i plan to do...

it's the root of all evil for me

I could live on a very wheat heavy diet just fine, it doesn't seem to phase me much.

But I do know someone who is completely intolerant of gluten and because of that I've had plenty of rice based pasta and other products like that. She's had plenty of time of source out the good stuff, but it all tastes very good to me.

Bread is the tricky one though. Most of it is frozen or you'll need to find a local bakery that knows what they are doing. Even then - I'm not impressed.

I've found eating gluten free and enjoying it is not that hard except for the beer situation.

Because of that, if I were suddenly gluten intolerant, if would be a full on crisis.

it's not really about Gluten
it's about a different form of protein
that gives you a CRAVING
and creates a vicious circle for more of it

my (over) weight has flat lined for way too long
i am borderline diabetic or pre-diabetic
(statistics show that 75% of the population by 2020
will be in this group... very soon)
i have high blood pressure and also arthritis

all of these are directly affected by this STUFF
i don't need.

Luckily Vodka, brandy and cognac are gluten free!
Then there's saki, uzo, grappa and Irish moonshine.

engineering food is scary stuff. theres a company in waltham that is currently changing the DNA of salmon so they grow faster, and bigger, EFF That!. Google "Monsanto India Suicides",. Bio engineering what is supposed to be natural food is not cool.

not that tough to avoid wheat. i'd say i avoid it 95% of the time, maybe more. not so much for gluten but more for the anti-nutrients and processed nature. i try to stick with whole foods. try to avoid all the wheat substitutes and other grains also. i'm not religious about it. still drink beer on occasion (couple a week usually) because i like it and think its worth its negatives. also eat wheat occasionally if the wife makes something for dinner that contains it. basically, i try to do a loose version of the paleo diet.

the real shame is that the USDA and government have pushed grains so hard for so many years people just have it ingrained in them that its what they should be eating. alot of people still really believe that bread is better for them than eggs. go out and pick some wheat and try to eat it raw, that should tell you that you shouldn't base your diet on it.
