X Rap Magnum question

Which one do you have best results with?

Do you change out the hooks before fishing them?

I only had one Magnum 30 in bunker, original hooks. Caught its first and only time out.

Blue Mac

I took off the stock hooks and split rings. I left the center hook off and replaced the back w/ a Gamy 4x 5/0.

We had good luck one day with the grey-herring colored one. replaced the hooks with 10/0 mustads crimped on- no split rings.
A 100 pounder hooked sideways in the gillplate still destroyed it. ripped the rear hook off and twisted up the belly hook pretty good.

Had better luck, and more faith in the construction, of the braid marauder.

Blue mackeral works real well as does the baby mahi color. Yozuri bonito baits work great too.

that always amazes me

knowing what i know about shear strength, tensile strength ect

hard to explain... about how fish can straighten out a hook (pause)

for reflection....

but they can't pull a crimped on hook apart.... seems like the same forces apply but apparently they don't.... i don't get that...

i can understand the theory of relativity easier than that.....
