Made in the USA

Ever look at the products you buy to see where it's made? ABC News did a recent story on this. Family agreed to go 100% American made household. They came home to a virtually empty house....Only one coffeemaker made domestically... So take a look, at everything you own or are purchasing. It may cost a bit more, but it is a cost of joining a groundswell to getting America back to what it used to be... I hope you share this idea with family, friends, and other concerned Americans. It starts with individual decisions being made to get the message out.

I think you will be hard pressed to find any item that is 100% American....so don't kid yourself! Its a great thought but very unrealistic!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

But.... we all can at least look, and ask for it. A lot has to change to make it reality, but you have to plant the seed. I ask the owner of the lumber yard, who then asks the reps, who then pass it on up, until corporate heads and the small stores are looking for American made, because we demand it. Have to start somewhere. Didn't yak fishing start small???

Even BigFish plugs are likely to have a foreign component, right BF?

It's almost unavoidable. What about the paint? I bet a bunch of the chemicals are sourced from outside the USA.

it's also the components for making
Crystal Meth

China is making that sh1t 24/7 365 days P.Y.
IN a VERY huge way !
and Exporting it to South America
or Southern Mexico where it
is finished up

Little has changed Since the days of
Sailing ships loaded with opium

Actually Larry pisses me off.
The Chevy bowtie, the symbol of their product, made in China.
Had one last week with the made in china sticker but didn't think to take a pic.
Why the F** did we bail them & Chrysler out !
They both make pieces of #^&#^&#^&#^& !
I see it every day working on them ! compared to say 10-15 years ago, our shop had about 60 - 70 % american cars in our shop at a time compared to foreign.
Now it's about 80% foreign to american.
The only thing gm or ford have over the foreigns is the bigger trucks.

You have a good point there Ron about the trucks! Without them they would roll over and die! There is no such thing as buying American anymore so don't kid yourselves.

One more thing on my GM rant.
How the hell can they go on tv doing commercials saying they are on their way back and have paid back their debt of the loans from the government when that is a total lie ?
They haven't paid back 1 penny other than interest according to what I've been told.
Someone correct me if I am wrong !

Dollars a day vs. dollars an hour and a container. In a global economy where's the argument?

wages seek a global level in all areas that can be moved the cheapest source of workers.

Manufacturing
Computer Components
IT
Radiology
Financial Research
HeadHunting
HR
Manufacturing

Everything that does not require face to face contact

Crap, even Drive In a Wendy's....

Cheeepppppp.

GM JUNK !!!
they need much better quality control and less cutting corners to increase profits for the higherups to get their humongous salaries

I spent my hard earned American dollars on an American truck to do some American work and end up with a huge repair bill due to a simple lifter bearing gone bad I'm still pissed, cost me a fortune. I tell you I have the worst luck with motors. I always maintained it, synthetic oil and everything, still at 122,000 miles just past the warranty, it goes bad. so i put a new motor in and got a 100,000 mile 3 year warranty, let's see if I get 5 more years out of it

I won't buy new again

I'll just get me a classic muscle car and hitch my trailer to it

It sure is getting hard to keep buying american, but I still do when I can.
I hate stuff made in China, buying it only hurts this country.

Theres one thing that really annoys me about the whole chrysler and gm bailout thing. I know why they did it. To save the jobs.
But seriously. You lend them money who then in return loan the money to people trying to buy their cars but they just charge a higher intrest rate to the consumers..

American is still the world leader in:

Biotech ... Molecular biology, DNA sequencing technology
Venture capital.... Ctrs in San Fran and Boston
Bleeding edge Software
Computer and Cell Phone design & software (Apple in Cupertino, CA)
Fine woodworking... Arts & Crafts/Craftsman Furniture (Thomas Moser) (Stickney) and several others

Our graduate schools are still the best in the world BUT more about 1/2 of the students are from other countries in the medical sciences

We have given up the manufacturing lead of consumer goods and machinery to places with lower cost structure.. sad but true

I've worked with several companies that do leading edge robotics and injection molding in the USA, but if it's not FDA requlated, they send the older generation molding machines over seas and then get a few hundred people to do visual inspections and remediation manually.

I have a neighbor that sells industrial vacuum systems. Most of his work is gone from Mexico, too expensive and is now in Vietnam and China as it was even too costly to stay in Mexico for companies when the could get others to work for dollars a day elsewhere.
