Is this the start of the end?

Any guesses as to the cause of the dead birds in Arkansas or the fish kill in Delaware?
I have heard a lot, and I mean A LOT of far-fetched, way out deductions, and the authorities have nothing new to disclose, so what could be a logical cause for thousands of birds or fish to die so unexpectedly?

The fish part I can understand due to the region and it's history of water quality issues, but the birds?

I just don't know. maybe we need Mulder and Scully for this one!

CNN is reporting the water quality in the Chesapeake was acceptable and it appears the fish died of natural causes. Apparently it's happened there before in 1976 and 1980.

I guarantee there was a poisonous release of some type that the birds must have flown through! Of course they will keep the findings all "Hush, hush"......shouldn't be too difficult for them to track it down??

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Call me silly, but here's my explanation;

There have been lots of crazy weather patterns lately which have created unusual storms and such. I'm thinking a large flock of birds could get caught in a major updraft lifting them to as high as 50,000 feet and they could have been asphixiated and then plunged back to the ground causing the trauma to the bird's bodies that they saw when examining the dead birds.

I think the answer is much simpler than people are making it out to be, but what do I know.

The increasingly small world of knowing makes it easier to tie these random unrelated events together to conspirational-linked events.

The increase in off-the-cuff "answers" by instant experts who read on the innernets are causing quick conclusions such as the end of the world, alien probes, guvmint conspiracies, and Bush did it.

We've been living in the "end times" for almost 2000 years.

Early Christians expected the "second coming" in their lifetimes, based on a passage in the gospel of John where Jesus hinted that his "beloved disciple" would not die until he returned.

There was another flurry of end times predictions at the end of the first millenium.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.

Animal death mystery: Two MILLION dead fish wash up in Maryland bay | Mail Online

"Another theory is that the rapid movement of the Magnetic North Pole towards Russia may have affected the birds' innate navigation systems. Inbuilt navigation systems in birds and fish is believed to be affected by magnetism.

Scientists have said the Magnetic North Pole is shifting at an average of around 25 miles a year.

With birds and fish relying on it to travel to breeding grounds and warmed climes, there are fears that the shifting pole could be confusing the animals which means they do not migrate in time to avoid cold weather."

Of INTEREST here is the fact that there is an airport in Florida right now with multiple runways shut down because of this magnetic anomoly. They have to re-mark the runways to reflect the several degree difference...

There seriously could be something to this.

If the magnetic pole changes what's going to happen to the earth's rotation...there is I'm betting something to do with this and all the wx issues and global warming/cooling.

It's Bush's fault. Clearly.

More kills:

FAENZA, Italy, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- More than 1,000 turtledoves are among the birds found dead in northern Italy and all had blue tinge to their beaks, officials said.

Scientists said the blue colorization indicates poisoning or hypoxia, which is a lack of oxygen that can confuse animals, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Authorities said millions of dead fish are also washing up on riverbanks and coastlines. Italian officials said testing to determine the cause of death are expected Monday.

The report in Italy follows reports of similar bird and fish deaths in Arkansas, Texas, Sweden and New Zealand.

Most of Italy's dead birds were found around an industrial estate on the outskirts of the town of Faenza.

A local newspaper writing about the deaths said it hoped there is a simple explanation for the incidents.

"Let's hope it is poisoning or an illness because that would be easier to deal with than it being a sign the world is coming to an end," the newspaper said.

A member of the local World Wildlife Federation said it is receiving reports of more dead birds daily.

"Tests are being carried out on the bodies by the local forestry commission and we should get the results next week but it's the numbers that make this such a notable event and for the moment it is a mystery," said World Wildlife Federation member Massimo Bolognesi

I read that there was a fire works show that night near a big black bird (I think that was the type) roost and that they have bad night vision. The birds were startled and ended up flying iinto things.

Or it could be the end of days.
