Boston Digital BA735 speakers

I have these speakers and a whatchamacallit base box in the middle that yurn on when powered up, but have never transmitted any sound from my computor, which is where I am using them. I have had them for years. Never cared to hear anything sound-wise coming from the computor until now. They appear to be attached properly. Plugged in, power light comes on, but no voice sound when watching a video except from the flat screen speakers. What do I need to do?

Probably plugged into the wrong.port on the pc, make sure its the green sound port.

If that is correct you will want to check your sound drivers(easily googlable) sometimea uninstallig the sound device and rebooting will fix it.

Let me know Frank i maybe able to swing by and help.

nope! you need the correct driver
a driver equals-> a set of instructions

you also "sometimes" need the speakers to be recognized
by your computer ...so open up your control panel
and add new hardware and have it scan for new hardware to see if these speakers are "seen"
you can also look under device manager under the audio heading
and see what's listed there

The black wire digital in cable is supposed to go from the woofer to a usb port and the wire I am using doesn't. It just goes in a plug in, same color, at the back of tge computor. I think I need a different cable. Maybe radio shack around the corner has one.

I think the computor wont recognize these speakers the way it is hooked up now.

Possible, did you google the speakers for a manual? Typically with speakers and.a woofer they go.to a box and then the box to the PC.

Can you give us the make and model of.the speakers, i for one would like to google the manual to better assist you as i was going on the presumption all the.correct cabling was there.

Boston Accoustics are the actual brand name. On the front of the speaker it says Boston Digital BA735. If you find the manual please email it.

i have the same Swimmer

boston Acoustics speakers

but they run off of a separate inline gizmo
that feeds them the power - that might explain your missing connection

currently i'm using Sony speakers from best buy

quite good too
