its a suprize, but his reason is a good one

I liked the guy even when he played for the Bungles...

he got his ring and a chance to play with winners, I think last season showed him how much he has slowed down... if he retires, and stays retired, I will have even more respect for him.. most pro atheletes dont know when they have had enough...

This news is late, his retirement started at the end of the 1st half in the AFC championship. Just kidding, he did his job, helped us to a championship and I wish him well.

According to a few boards,
he wants out of here and retirement is not a definite!
Sounds like he's not happy about being # 2 behind Maroney.

yeah, his agent told john clayton that he just wants out of new england. he is looking to play, but won't be satisfied with 7-10 carries/game.

Even though he played with a chip on his shoulder he knew where the line was drawn.

We're gonna miss you 28 locker.

I doubt the Pats will release him untill June 3rd since that is when the cap hit will only be a million something as opposed to 4 million something if they release him by March.
That's what I heard anyway

Corey, thank you for your service and helping win the championships, you want out, ok fine, but no release untile the cap hit goes down.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

patriots would be foolish to release him before june for cap reasons. i'm sure he would of been asked to restructure contract to stay- his pride seems to have him walking away from an ideal situation for him- limited abuse to body- all the 5 yd and in td's, chance for a ring. he still has some fuel in the tank imo.

I didn't think Dillon helped NE that much. But, he got his SB Ring so now he wants to leave. Bet he ends up with the Jets!
