Definitely Supertramp, except for one "popular" album. Al Stewart also came to mind the other day, except for one "popular" album. Very happy to see XTC make the list. Very, very good stuff. I was also thinking of Hot Tuna today. Jorma Kaukonen blues stuff nowadays too. Been into Mississippi John Hurt the past few weeks during the commute. The blues list could be never ending.
Mississippi John Hurt is my favorite of all the old acoustic blues guys. His music was well recorded and translates well into the modern age and is just very mellow and calming.
Ladies & Gentlemen, TEN YEARS AFTER....... Alvin Lee's performance of "I'm Goin' Home" at Woodstock and included on the album was nothing short of amazing. They had some other interesting stuff along the way but never got much ink. BTW & not for nuttin', and I'm not condoning it by any means but when A.L. was brilliantly banging out probably one of the top 3 live performances I've ever seen.... well he was pretty much WHACKED!!!!!
