TFCTFN - Cancelled for 2016

I have give this a lot of thought the past few days and I regret that I will need to cancel the official TFCTFN this year as I have too much work going on and cannot reasonably do what I need to do to make this happen. This site, while a labor of love, does not pay my mortgage and in order to pull of Too Cold I need to take time off the paying job that I cannot afford to really take off.

I also think I need to do a better job of providing service from here to you guys & gals and will make a better effort on that over TFCTFN./ I have promised you all stuff that I do not feel I have delivered on in an acceptable manner (but something good IS happening there ; ) )

So - real big thanks to Ricky, Paul and Victor for all the help and inspiration. We will pick up the baton properly next year and we may even do something low key later this year.

I will work on the AOY and MOY awards this week.

John, it is the right decision. Ricky need an operation. You are buried with work and your back is in bad shape. You need to do what make sense.

We'll all be here for you. If you decide to do a low-keyed thingie, let Victor and I know, we'll help.

No boat, back in the suds.

Lot of commercial lure builders here. If everyone of them kicked in a couple of plugs we could have an awesome raffle.

I agree, I think a raffle would be a good idea to help John out.

John, thank you for keeping the site going. You do a lot for all of us who obsess over this sport. I still believe this site hosts the best collection of striped bass anglers on the internet, both in terms of great people and expertise.

Feel better soon, Rick.

Raffle sounds like a great idea, I'm in and would suggest it not be limited to fishing gear,,,, I HAVE STUFF. :-)
Best to you JR

Raffle

Thank you JR for all that you do including keeping this site up and running. It seems like the same small group of guys helping out all the time. I'd like to join that group if possible but in any event I'm in for a couple of plugs to help the raffle. Just let me know when and where. I have reaped so much great info from these guys it's time to step-up. I think that should go for many others as well.

Thanks to John for all his work. In florida for 4th of 6 weeks but check sb.com daily to connect with what is happenning. Great website, great posts by all of you. Fishing in Florida, though good, makes me appreciate what we have for a fishery. Also what we have for a website and a great bunch of folks.

Ricky, my main man, I cannot tell you how much I hope
this ops will be successful, we need youse on the ice.

John Pollack, my sometimes roommate. I was preparing for you this year. We had a nice room. I was going to sleep on the floor, but that's not an option anymore.

I did get junior out on the ice this year. He fed my shiners to the seagulls. He wanted to use the auger so badly. He really liked it, but needs more little buddies to enjoy the ice with next time. I have a crew. They'll be a handful for sure.
