Arrow

when did you first see that? just recently?

because you can search your C drive

for files and folders created on a particular day or week

and narrow down your search parameters or scope

then delete it manually

you can also use the asterisk trick *****
search for files and folders
named *.exe
and all your executables will pop up ok
because the asterisk is a wild card

then begin checking the dates those
were installed or "created" (the magic word)
until you get the EXACT file name
so you can kill the prick

What is the name of the icon you referred to? You can search with google for it and see what other people have said about it as far as it being malware or spyware. Also you can see how others dealt with it.

Be wary of some spyware removal programs too. Some are nothing more than spyware themselves. Some I have used and are legit are
adaware, hijack this, spybot S&D, and microsoft's spyware remover.

You can also go to symantec.com and mcafee.com and search there if you have a rouge program to search for.

Good luck
