Here's da deal.......thinking about turning a casting blank (new) to a spinning rod.......Whats the consequences?? How will this affect how the rod preforms?? Should I add more guids??

Go for it . depends on how long the blank is ,an the action, as to how many guides there will b.....no more than the norm.

BOAT fish do count.

It looks like it would be better as a spinner. its a very light blank. only rated to 3/4 OZ max.

FWIW, ALL of my saltwater spinning rods began as "conventional" blanks. "Spinning" blanks are usually too light for the jigging I do.

Buy the blank for the feel and action you want.
