Worth all the hype. Don't forget he dropped everything and became a commercial pilot too. He is a very talented individual. I have had the pleasure of seeing him at least 5 times, mostly in the dixie dreg era, in small venues up close. I was playing guitar back then and always came away in awe. Most everyone in the audience back then, 70's and early 80's, was a Berklee student, except for our bakeout crew. The whole band was super talented and schooled musicians. Steve's style is his own, which has always been a draw for me, classicly trained, with southern tastes mixed in. As good as it gets in my book.
Eddie I have tons of Mr. Morse on cd and vinyl, put on cd, so don't spend too much just borrow them.
Hey Bob that Steely Dan album looks like a winner. I need to find that.
"A beach is a place where a man can feel he's the only soul in the world that's real"
His acoustic work is fa nominal, with his classical guitar training. His bread and butter. Such a pleasure to listen too and the technique is as good as it gets. Some guitarists are good on either one but not all are good on both, he is not good on both he is great on both. I read where he writes most all his original works on piano and then transposes it to guitar, which is not a real easy transition but probably simple for a schooled musician like him.

Andy West was a kind of local I think from Worcester or RI, I forget which one. Morse's technique is pretty awesome. You will not hear him hammer too many notes rather playing, picking, every single note. Much harder IMO, but classically trained makes that easier for him.
This tune features the precision of all the members of the Dregs. This sounds as good live as studio a true sign of great musicians
