Tomorrow Thursday June 21

OK Boys, who will also be out on the water?

I've got a crew and we'll be launching around 330-345 either out of GH or Plymouth. Plan is to head around the backside unless I receive different intel later today.

Let me know. Always nice sharing intel since we're able to cover more ground.

@ Mike

Sounds good.
It'll be Pete on the Contango

Anyone hearing of fish being taken on squid bars or sand eel trolling rigs? I'm hearing that fish being caught have squid in their bellies and Beverly harbor and Salem sound is thick with them

No tuna yesterday.

Put a lot of miles (107) on the boat and she ran great for first full trip. Left GH at 345am and proceed to SWC. Was showing signs but never materialized. Headed north and east and eventually ended up 7 miles off Nauset. Covered ground returning in a S pattern but could only locate massive schools of macks & sand eels with nothing harassing them. Ended the day live lining macks back on the southern portion of Stellwagon.

Thanks for the report, doesn't make me feel as bad that I can't get out there right now due to electronics issues!

125 miles Thursday. NWC and Middle Bank were dead zones.
Met up with Mike and shared a little intel...Just as he says, SWC , peaked hill, etc just loaded with bait. Jigged up macs every where we went. Marked plenty of good sized fish on the new Furuno, but they definitely were'nt buying anything we were selling, and why would they? It seems they could just turn their heads left or right and feast in any direction. Have a buddy who thinks the answer will be pogies on a kite. We'll see

Consistent schools of smaller fish spotted off the backside yesterday anywhere from 2-5 miles out. That's a good sign for the next few days. Hopefully they put the feedbag on.

As of Sat my buddy had killed no Charlie with his pogies flapping wildly on top as they dangled from the kite on the SWC. Still waiting to hear on today

The boys on the stick boats seem to be having all the fun after the big boys gorge themselves and come up to sun and get silly.

cool vid...
so left my house at midnight, was on the water by 330 and was 1st one out in the area on jefferies this am....spent the 1st 2.5 hrs trolling nothing going on just a couple of whales that didnt stay up long...seemed quiet. then we did some ground fishing. about 12:30 on the western edge of jefferies i looked out and saw a very odd looking very fast rouge wave pulled up the binos, wrong! whole pod of tuna moving quickly northwest pulled up the line and tried to get on them but we just couldnt get to them before they went down....
saw lots of guys floating ballons and flying kites saw no hook ups and didnt hear any tuna talk on the radio

Mike you ran right by us as you were coming out of CC Bay...23 Seacraft....or the evening before at Wally World while we were getting bait!

Lost one big fish. Hit right at the boat..went under boat & around the anchor ball. My brother freed it from the ball but the line was damaged. My 15 yr. old nephew David did a great job on the rod for 25 mins. before my bro took over for a turn. We tried to get the chafed line back on the spool but the fish was having none of that and finally broke off. Big time bummer...Dave's 1st fish.

I saw you getting bait I wasn't going to set my net. I was just up in the tower looking for big schools saw a few different pods in there. Won't be back on the bank until next weekend after the 4th.
