Dates to NOT have plugfest

How about we chime in with what dates there are other events happening so we don't have conflicts.

we don't want it on the same day as TFCTFN
and we don't want to have it Feb. 27th when Plum Island surfcasters show is.
Not when MSBA show is either , but it won't be that late anyway.

I was thinking we can do it in January some Saturday like the 23rd

I hope to make a call to find a hall tom. if I remember.

any input?
thanks

That will work, unless you are going to an AFC Championship game at Foxboro the next day.... No football on the 31st....

Speaking of football, anyone interested in a squares p00l for the SB? We could start budgeting now for a really big pot....

More time to build after Xmas would be my preference. Jan 21 seems early.

I hope to be Ross, I was worried about earlier in the month when they sometimes get a Sat. game, no problem is it's an AFC champ game, I'd walk there if I had to, been to all of the home ones so far.

Well, I was hoping to have it on a snowstorm just like the old days so January was my first choice so all you procrastinators, deal with it
Joe, it will be good to have ya , I WILL call you this year to remind you, count on it.

So, any conflicts with Jan. 23rd? (other than the prom queens not being ready)

I'd like to get the ball rolling earlier this year. thanks for the input you knuckleheads now go spin some wood

Bruce I looked into the Ted Williams camp and it is out. They have issues with the building, water damage I think, and don't want to rent it out anymore right now. Would have been perfect. If you need help give me a jingle.

Talked with Bruce thisd morning, I am going to check out the Order of Eagles hall just off of Main Street Buzzards Bay. It would be perfect, easy to get to, very large, big kitchen, not that fancy so when the machinery is set up for demos not much to worry about. Plenty of tables. Huge parking lot.

Right by the canal. It's got a lot going for it as far as our event goes.

Salty could be in the same room as all of us. Poor guy had to be relegated to the back closet last year.

I will keep you informed.

Why even try.........

Uhhhhh....just thinking here, but in the case of a stray spark wouldn't Salty and NIB in the same room be an explosion hazard?

Ah, no problem with all the bs floating around the room even a class one division explosion proof facility would be rendered disabled.

why would NIB come??
someone building golf balls? or custum clubs?
perhaps to get some hand made tee's?
or will there be some nice golf wear on exhibit?
perhaps some "plus size" plus fours??

the most explosive thing in the room is the kielbasa onion thing that flpa brings every year...

I'm disappointed. It will be a long haul through Feb with nothing to look forward to. That two month period after the new year was prime building time. Now it is down to 3 weeks, which kills any chance of building big numbers of plugs to hand away.

George....lets see how things go.....if winter is that bad I may invite a few guys over for an afternoon of spinning, swapping, and chewing the fat! Better yet....maybe we can get a few guys together and alternate "shops or man-caves" every few weeks all winter so we can all see how the other half builds???

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

I like that idea, but it may get crowded

It doesn't matter to me when we have the plugfest, you guys want to decide? nothing will get decided then, that seems to be the way this site works with that sort of thing. We had no problems before having it in December, I don't see why late Jan. or early Feb. will be a problem. We can always have it in April and make it a flea market at the same time. I'd like to find some time to make a few plugs also, but if I don't it's no big deal. I like exchanging ideas as much as plugs.

you, slip, and flap are too tall for my shop. Way too many plugs hanging from the ceiling. Guess it will have to be 5' 8" and under at my place.

Again I am with the good doctor on this one I need the extra time. I will plead my case tonite when I drop by Slips. Pretty please works sometimes.

You would need a step ladder at my shop......either I build a cat walk for you shorties or its just the 6 footers and over! Be good having the under 6 foot crowd though....they can't reach the hanging goodies!

They are all too tall for my shop too... they'd be whackin their noggins of plugs, roda or an air handeler... but they'd all be welcome anyway..
