Took the yak out on the Charles yesterday

I put in at Dedham, across from the Dedham Mall and fished all the way down past Millenium Park. The fishing was horrible from Dedham to the rte 109 bridge, except for one lunker hiding amongst a falled tree.

Once I got past the bridge, the water seemed more alive, more productive that upstream. I managed 6 bass, none under 3 lbs., and 4 average size pickerel. The best part was that the bass were big and healthy (or as healthy as they can be in that river).
I also enjoyed seeing the wildlife that lives around the river system.
Hawks, herons, swans, ducks, gese and muskrats.

I know now that I will put in at Millenium Park and fish downstream from there next time, but I also need to start my salt season too!!!

I am a legend in my own mind!
