Talking Boston Harbor Saltwater Fishing is On!!!

Hello all, sorry for the late report but we have been hitting the water hard the past week. Things have really gotten pretty good.

We started off last week with mixed results, we had a trip on wed and the bite was tough. We had plenty of Mackeral right away, so we thought it was gonna be a great day. But the fish just did not want to play too well. We managed only a couple of Striped Bass, one Keeper and the other was too short.

The next trip out, we had a good mix of fish with a few decent fat bass in the mix. We got the mackeral in the tank in about a half hour and headed offshore a bit. Put lines in and in about 15 min the first fish came to the boat. She was a beautiful 29 lb Striper. Few minutes later I was tight to another nice bass around 24 lbs. The total for the day was 10 bass, between 3o inches and 29 lbs.

Sunday we had a Shared Trip and thought we were on a roll from the previous days bite. SO we loaded up. headed out and the bass were picky again. We took a fish about every half hour and managed 6 bass for the day but only 2 were keepers and the rest were throw backs.

Monday we hit the water again with a friend and his 5 year old daughter. Got to the area we have been fishing and loaded up with bait in 15 min. Put lines in and the 1st fish to the boat was a nice fat 21 lber. Great start so we were pumped. We hooked into 4 other fish but they were between 26 & 32 inches. The tide went slack and the bite slowed a bit. When the tide started to roll again, the wind changed direction and the feed bag was on. We managed another 8 fish, a 30 lber, a 20 lber, 17lber, a 15 lber and the rest were around 28-30 inches.

It was the best day we have had so far this season as for as numbers of fish go and they were covered with sea lice and fresh into the area. So the game is on in Boston Harbor MA. Other boats in the area have been doing well with big fish as well as we know that there have been several fish between 35 lbs to well over 40 lbs taken. Its good to see the smaller fish as we have not had alot of smaller bass in the mix for a few years with the big migrating schools of large bass.

We have so much bait right now it is unbeleivable and great to see, We have herring, large and small mackerel, as well as alof of other little rain bait. This year is shaping up to be one of the best seasons we have had in a few years.
We also heard of a few bluefish caught yesterday, and there are already Bluefin Tuna offshore on Stellwagon Bank, as well as just outside Bsoton Habor as a friend of ours in there own boat the other day got spooled Bass fishing a live mackerel by a bluefin tuna. SO its time to get out on the water and have some fun.

I will post the recent pictures in our photo section so you can check them out. We have a great stock of Striped Bass this season. They are very healthy and very hefty for their size. That is what happens when they have a lot of good bait fish to to feed on.

We have plenty of good dates available for the live mackeral bite as well as thru out the season. So if your interested in booking a trip give us a call soon and we will get you out there.

I will also be posting some more Shared Trip dates as well in the coming weeks. We have an email list going as well for people who want to know what dates are open. If you would like to be put on the shared trip email list give us a call or drop us and email and we will add you to it.

Tight Lines!!!
