Going to try tomorrow morning but my boat is a little bigger than yours!

I tried to fish yesterday morning, but while I was putting on my ice fishing bibs I decided sitting in the truck and eating doughnuts and sipping coffee would be much more pleasurable. It's going to be a long season, no need to fight extreme conditions so soon.

When I left the house at 0445 the temp was only 35 degrees. And man that wind was howelling!

Cold out there on Buzz Bay this morning, ODM couldn't get warmed up. Saw lots of guys fishing the ditch as we took an exploratory cruise a little way in to map the bottom, thanks for not putting any plugs, lead, or plastic into my boat. I tried to stay out of your way.

BTW: there were NO fish marks on the finder anyway.

Me and Rockport24 took the yaks out yesterday for a couple of hours looking for some Flatties.....Cold and Windy...and no fish to boot. Still better than staying home doing nothing though.

yup.. when egos get in the way.. bad things happen... we watched white caps rip across the sheltered bay and the flag nearly get torn off of the post... no need to take a beating this early in the season...we commented on how it looked exactly like the last day of the Winni derby...and it was almost as cold!

Yeah yardwork is done for the timebeing, so it was good for a shakedown cruise, although not sure if it was better than sitting in my nice warm house watching fishing shows, it was damn cold out there!
