Angry I'm more then grumpy right now

I've had the worst sour stomach and diarrhea since the middle of January. My day starts after a bland diet of toast, coffee with honey (no creamer) and then I have to "run" to the bathroom, with 2-3 more repeat trips before I get to start my day. I've had the blood work and stool samples all coming back normal. Then my primary prescribed some wonderful meds and since I was put on them on the 15th, it made it an all day fun filled bathroom experience and no drinking or you vomit immediately.

Thank God I'm retired and don't have to deal with this "sh*t" at work or on the road. I haven't had a pizza, slice of cheese, glass of milk or any diary in forever and no beer or wine in a week; I'm about to loose it. At least the doctor told me to go off these meds, which means I can have a beer by Sunday, oooh LUCKY ME!

I have a golf trip planned on April 29th, sorry guys better make mine an 11am tee time, I have some things I need to unload to welcome you all home. Aren't I lucky enough to be seeing a GI specialist on April 20th, I told my primary today NO F'ING way I'm waiting that long; get on the phone and get me in sooner. I'm so tired of this SH*T, I am really getting grumpy and its going to get worse.

Is this rant on the right board

Exclamation

saccharomyces boulardii 5 billion cfu restores intestinal flora

this is the Other beneficial bacteria for your Gut and Man does it work good.

it's for humans but we discovered it because our Cat was doing puddles of poo
instead of Normal for months. Nothing that was recommended by vets helped at all until
we tried this stuff and i became a true believer in it's efficacy .

I have taken it for stomach problems myself with great results instead of relying
on Imodium D . So Google this stuff.

I'll try anything at this point, because right now I'm sitting here early am why; because in order to get to Stoneham by 8am to set up for the flea market, I need time to get through the worst of my morning ritual.

Yogurt helps. I'm sure you know that though... If you don't eat yogurt because you think it's gross, consider trying Noosa honey or coconut Greek yogurt. It is so damn good. Loaded with good bacteria for your gut.

My breakfast was always Greek yogurt, fruit and granola on top. My primary thought my system might have been shocked by all the cheese and dairy over holidays and thought I may have developed a lactose intolerance and put me on no dairy. Since that didn't work I'm going back to yogurt.

Ok. Consider eliminating wheat. You might have begun a wheat / gluten sensitivity

So no more beer, bread, pizza; just kill me now. At this point getting off gluten for a week or two is worth trying, at least I like wine almost as much as a good IPA (man will I miss that if this is what I have). Looking through the pantry, OMG not a lot in there I can eat, looks like its whole foods and grilled meat, ok so a nice cab with a slab of beef....sounding better. I could improve my colon and make the heart suffer.

I couldn't imagine living s wheat free life but I will say that good grocery stores stock lots of alternatives. Gluten free crackers, bread, pasta, etc. giving up beer would slay me.
Thai food and sushi would bring great joy though as its a rice based diet.

Good luck with this.

That's great to hear. I haven't had a gluten free beer in about 10 years and thought I was drinking swamp water.

Loosing weight hasn't been an issue, the lbs are dropping away, nothing I eat stays in my system long enough to be absorbed. I'm going to light a fire under my primary today to get me in to see someone sooner than my April 20th appointment. But yesterday I picked up a bunch of gluten free sandwich wraps, snacks and probably should have gone a little easier on my first taste (wine) of alcohol in two weeks. Between the wine and the grilled broccoli, peppers and mushrooms to go with the steaks, was up multiple times last night.

My wife has something similar going on. She developed an allergy to Soy. As Soy is in pretty much EVERYTHING - 90% of foods have some form of soy or vegetable oil derived from soy.

What I would recommend is a few days of this:

Breakfast: plain egg, ham, not other ingredients

Lunch salad no other ingredients other than base stuff like ham or egg for protein and be VERY careful on salad dressing.

Dinner, plain chicken or fish with no real toppings. Get a few days of zero Soy though you and see what happens.

You need to check every label for anything which is mixed.

Bad news was the GI specialist said that while I was starting to see some improvement after being Gluten free for 3 days, he needed me to go eat and drink as much as I could for a couple days to get the test results he needed. Was so nice to have a big sloppy pizza last night and I'm enjoying the beer for a couple days, although I hated to go back to the usual issues.

If it is celiac, embrace this news as something that is manageable and not something worse like things i don't even want to mention.

keep in mind that spirulina is 70% protein
and highly digestible.... whereas the finest steak is only 22 %
~
pizza is the hardest to digest as the dough
is real heavy ...hopefully you chose thin crust

i use the small yogurt cups to mix in a heaping
table spoon of whey protein powder
you can get @ walmart for $18.00
