After cuttin up 3 limits I was wound up pretty tight and in a hurry to get in.... without pulling the anchor!

No boat, back in the suds.

Shallow spot to fillet...
Took off, clunk! , chain wrapped around prop and looks like quit when the anchor got there, raised engine, chit my pants, lowered engine to loosen from cleat, cleared it away, went home!

Little ding in the prop also, no big deal.... super lucky...

Indeed! If it were Clammer, that lower unit would be toast....

Thinking further about that, the SS prop would have sent all the force up the shaft... Might be worth having the lower unit dropped and have educated eyes take a look for potential damage or future problems.

ray spin the prop & see it its spinning straight ////////// the last time I blew it .we changed the prop & all seem to look & run good .But we pulled it & has spun it & it had a slight tilt , wobble /which eventuallywould have lead to a full blown & probably at a worse time ><.

Glad Clammer chimed in... "the last time I blew it..." Love you Mike, like a brother. Hope we can fish again this year...

Seriously, Ray. It is the main reason I won't run with a SS prop. I would rather sacrifice an aluminum prop than have the SS strength telegraph the energy up into the engine.

No... I retrieved your prop with my gaff, just feet from where you hit the submerged jetty. Lower unit was already retrieved when we arrived on the scene... I remember asking you what happened and you hit the tilt on your motor to reveal no lower unit.. Wasn't it two different TowBoats to get you all the way home? Imagine how that tow would have been if we hadn't delivered the Rx.....

Cool

yep the ma boat towed to the RI line @ around Sakonnet 7.5 hours laying in the sun . I was so dehydrated I couldn,t stand up ……… & I don,t remember putting the boat on the trailer or in the yard ……… needless to say .I didn,t do it …….F-18 & #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& had to smash the trailer lock change the ball & go wait at the boat ramp & they took me & the rig home ………… that,s the only one I took completely off the others were in different stages of pieces .

always was a rush job to get the boat to look enough as a pleasure boat to pass for the appraiser

ENJOY WHAT YOU HAVE !!!
