Here is a nice one from yesterday. I had a giant miss a pencil this morning. My heart is still racing.

Well, I hit the beach this morning for the first time this season, had an hour to kill. Crosswind. But, picked up 4 schoolies before heading home to get ready to play golf Nothing showing and no birds, but they are here.

Not big by old standards, but it was a pleasant surprise to catch one way up inside BB, while targeting sea bass. The last weakfish I caught was also on one of my 4" split tails off Westport maybe 15 years ago, looking forward to something new for dinner tomorrow night. Another kayaker said he also dropped one at the yak, so a few must have been up inside.

that's awesome and a nice surprise when you get it to the boat and realize what you caught.....I used to get them in the Sakonnet but it was sporadic and usually Aug/Sept ....wish we had bigger populations...such pretty fish

1st catch of the season with Ray today 36in live pogie . the bay was full of boats no one catching that I saw . and of course A pogie Boat wiped out the only pogies in the area by 9am.. so I doubt the bass will stick around for long

the 3 Pogie boat have basically cleaned out the bay North of the Mt hope bridge. Did get pogies, and paid for them in Bristol Harbor even that guy is struggling to find them . found some blues lost one bass in my go to spot and that was it.. from 4am to to noon still early but the bass move out by July 1st
