AllStar 1209 with Abu 7000HSN

got this from thefishingfreak a year ago, and never really used it (I'm kind of a boat guy now). Spiral wrapped 1209 blank, trimmed 3" from the butt to fit in my little car. 22" from butt to reelseat. Fuji Hardaloys and Fuji trigger seat. cork tape grips.
rod is in great shape. nothing fancy in terms of the wraps- simple burgundy thread. this is a big fish rod- schoolies need not apply.

reel is the "old gold" Big Game 7000HSN, spooled with 300yds of 30 SpiWire stealth. bearing and drag washers both upgraded from stock. Reel is in excellent shape (hell, I only used the setup maybe 3 times..... I just don't get up to the Canal)

$200 for the combo; would prefer not to seperate, and this is just too big to ship. I will certainly try to meet you if its at all possible.

thanks- Bob

I usually just read all the good stuff here, yea a lurker for years, and shouldn't say anything here, but have been told so many times how many problems those reels have, honestly.... just hard to sell even new. I'm not supposed to be around long, and hope to make Hatteras for Drum if they don't keep everyone off the beach..... damn tree hugger's, for a good price I expect it would last the time I'd need it. Something to think about with me or anyone that'll take a chance. Sweet rod though What ya want for it?

Smile

Well then ,considering my situation, and it doesn't need to last 4-5 years , more like a couple....provided there are no problems as of now, what are you willing to take for it? I could use the extra line capacity, and a year maybe two, I think shouldn't be a problem. Not knocking your reel by any means, please don't get that impresion! Lots of members here know me from another site, and I do like being fair on "any" issues......

If you're interested, I await your reply.

All the Best to You and yours! And TL's, even if it's a cow-nosed

....that's for the tree huggers at Hatteras
