My wife made me turn the heat on last nite. Heck it isn't even Oct. yet.

I was just thinking it might be time to take out the A/C units. Heat is not allowed until Columbus Day.

The "Boss" doesn't allow heat until November....she'll sleep with her window open until at least the first frost... as for me... I know where the heat sorce sleeps

Going to try to keep the stove unlit til at least thew second week of Oct. and to keep her from lighting it I haven't brought wood in yet. We still have the windows open a crack at night. Fall is the best time of year,

I'm hoping to hold out til Nov1 . In addition to saving the cost of fuel , I simply breath better before the heat is turned on. Its do to humidity I'm sure but I like breathing the cold air at night while sleeping.

One year I only spent $11 on heat for the month of November! Hooded sweatshirts is the way to go!

No wood stoves till November. I cut the wood. I decide when to burn it. I don't, however, have any control over the thermostat.

No boat, back in the suds.

OK, so I caved in yesterday and lit the Vigilant in the living room. Sunday afternoon in my recliner in front of the stove with football? It just doesn't get any better than that.

I refuse to turn the heat on until it breaks 60 degrees in the house, as for my woodstove not until the end of november, but then it runs 24/7, I built my house in 01/02 and it's super well insulated holds and thermal really well, right now the thermostat reads 71, natural gas heat, last month my bill for laundry and hot water was 49$ and change,
