Take a ride to King Cove and put a few in the water. That way you get the feel for the kayak. Sitting in a kayak for 5 minutes is not the same as sitting for a couple of hours. Take one out for an hour or four - rent a rigged fishing kayak. If you buy one you don't pay the rental or hold on to your rental receipt until you decide what model to get and deduct the rental from the cost.
