He could be out for the year if he needs surgery. Isn't there some guy out there who lives in San Francisco looking for work that could be a DH? I think he has some kind of big record, too.

Seriously, I wonder if they'd look at making a trade for a DH or calling Mike Piazza out of retirement if Ortiz is goint to miss significant time.
