Friend and I each get doe

Took a good friend and customer out with me yesterday afternoon. We hunted some land I have in Mattapoisett. Did not find much sign but in one place so I had him sit a tree 30 yards from me so he would get a chance first. At 4:30 two does came in he looked at me and I told him to take a shot if he got it but he wanted me to shoot first. As it happened the first doe stopped mid way bettwen us and we both kept telling each other to take the shot. I finally took the shot and dropped her and the other doe walked over to him at 20 yards and he took her. I have sat close at other times and watched him get deer and vise versa but this was a first we got to watch each other from 30 yards.

Nice job Greg. I went bird hunting with my father today. We left one spot, and on the way to a second spot there was a big doe in a field right on the side of a very busy road. It was like 830 or 9 and there were guys hunting right there, she was feeding without a care in the world.

3 to 6 of 'em every morning right in my backyard. Ever since they shut down the airbase, there's all sorts of wildlife. Deer, Turkey, Coyote, Hawks, even Fishercats like they found down the Cape recently. I've been spotting those for a few years now around here.

I left my house one morning and saw what I thought was a dead coon, as I got closer I slowed and looked at it and said to myself that looks like a Fisher but not around the Cape?...A few days later all talk about it in radio and in print......I gotta get back in them woods....
