For you Rhode Island guys

The Rhode Island State Senate just passed a bill (26-6) to require Rhode Islanders to prune their shrubbery and trees or face a $500 fine if the leaves land on someone else’s property .

Well, my whole neighborhood will be getting slapped with fines. We're all on adjacent, 5 acre wooded lots and have very little control over which way our trees grow. We'd all have to have our properties surveyed and then hire tree companies to come in and "prune" the offending branches.

I can tell that a bunch of city dwellers gave this a lot of thought.
