Ain't no justice in fishing...

Neighbor (who has no business fishing) caught a 43" bass trolling an umbrella rig...

I'm taking up golf!

To quote a well known fisherman and writer for the fisherman.... "one good fish does not a sharpie make"...

Lets see how his season goes once the final tally is made...

A good run is better than a bad stand!

Wow - captains still use umbrella rigs?
I bet he wasn't even holding the rod when the fish struck and had to reel in 200 feet of wire.

LOL. Guy rarely fishes, (just likes to get out on the water) Went out with a buddy who does, and except for the wire part, likely a pretty accurate depiction.

I knew two beginner surfcasters who took some large bass at Block on their first island visit. My friend Artie had a 50, and another acquaintance had a 50 and a 62 - on the same night. Gives new meaning to the statement, "I'd rather be lucky than good".

Paul your retired! This is when you should be deciding if you should play 18 or Fish on your boat. Stop working man! Go buy another boat. The bay is on fire, and your stomping grounds are missing you.

Amen. I’d consider exploring every corner of Italy as well.

#1 43 inch bass (25-28 lbs) isn’t exactly a big fish (43 lb is Big)
#2 trolling umbrella rigs isn’t fishing (may as well throw a few hand granades in the water)

You're right Jay. But I really am enjoying the work and it'll calm down soon. I do miss my boat, however.
