Thumbs up Fish Report from last week!!!!

Well the fishing is improving in the harbor. Last week we had 3 bass & bluefish trips and one tuna trip.

As for the tuna we got 3 knockdowns for the day but no hookups, hopefully when the weather comes around later this week we will be able to get out there again and put the boots to some tuna.
If anybody is interested in shared trips for tuna vs booking the whole boat the price is $350 per person. if you are interested let us know.

As for the bass fishing, as the week went on the bite got better. we has surface atcion on all days out with a few schoolies and small snapper blues to show for it. Then got a decent bass on deep divers out by Deer ISland.

Sunday we went out again to teach a repeat client some diffent tactics to use this time of year and low and behold we see some splashes and head over to take a look. It wasn't bass and blues it was adult Pogies. So we got out the snaggin rods and Bill hooked up a pogie, within seconds a big bass come up and grabbed the pogie on the snaggin hook. Bill handed the rod off toone of our clients and he landed a nice 22lber, next hookup a 23 lber, next hookup a 25lber and the final hookup was a nice chunky 32lber, and then it was over. It was a total rush and only lasted a little while but it was incredible. Our clients zach and his dad Paul kept the fish for the grill and some friends. We tried trolling a few left over live bunker to no avail, but who would be dissapointed with that trip. Life is good.

There is still plenty of good bass and tuna fishing to come so if you are interested give us a call we are doing both private charters and shared trips to try and cater to everybody.

You can check out all the new pictures on our site in the photo section at www.billandjulsfishing.com

Just a little update, Bill and I got out by ourselves for a little fun fishing yesterday and had fish everywhere on the surface all day, all schoolies with some nice fat 5 lb bluefish in the mix, all on light tacke and top water, it was the balls and this is the way it should be till the end. all we need are some bigger fish moving in with this storm and it is gonna go bonkers.
