Solvent based or H2O Based paint?

So I got an airbrush...

What kind of paint do I buy to paint my plugs? Solvent or water-based?

If you use water based like most of the guys here, you can use it inside without worrying about blowing the place up!

Start with water based paint made specifically for airbrushes. Createx is the favorite. Relatively nontoxic, easy to wash off and start over, not particularly expensive, easy to clean the brush. Downside is that it is fragile and not particularly waterproof, so you're going to have to clearcoat it somehow.........which usually means epoxy (UGH). Most guys using solvent based paints use cans, although if you have a system to handle the fumes and a quick way to clear your brush between colors, solvent based airbrushing probably gives you the best of both worlds (not that i've tried it....yet).
