spring browns

Went last week of my kayak for the first time in freshwater. Did pretty well. Got 4 brown trout all about a pound. It was the first fish I ever caught of a yak. Pretty fun stuff.

Find a nice bass pond and try kayak fishing from evening until dark.
Bass tend to be much more active at night and you tend to get more explosive surface strikes, especially from the "followers" that come right up to the yak!
I've been night fishing from my yak for a few years now.
I've even gone out in Duxbury Bay in the wee hours of the morning and had a blast!
