I'm watching the 10pm news and they are describing the details of how this friggin POS shot his baby daughter point blank range.
What kind of F***Ing human being could shoot a defenseless baby???
I can't think of any punishment that would be enough for this POS !!!

10-4. I want to see this guy as defenseless as the baby getting the SH** beat out of him. Honestly, a lot of people go through hardships with money and sex lives and even worse issues, but how do you justify shooting your wife and own child in cold blood and then try and deny it and get let off by some pu**y in the jury. This guy better not get off and fly back to england and hide.

But this is massachusetts... the chances of him being convicted are not 100%. And the chances of him being scentenced exteremly harshly are not high at all. But hopefully people will see the harshness of the crime and it will work out that he has a better sex life in prison as someones b***h

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I would love to be a juror on that trial. I would have told them anything they wanted to hear just to get on the panel of jurors. He is the lowest form of human being. POS!

There's a mandatory sentence of life without parole if he's convicted of first degree murder. No discretion on the part of the judge.

Unfortunately you and I the mass taxpayer are shouldering the bill for his defense, somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-3 million as he had himself declared indigent sometime ago.
I also believe that some defense lawyers do it for the recognition, do you think any of these people really believe he is innocent?
He will never take the stand and the defense will be to show some element of doubt, as the evidence is entirely circumstantial.

I love when they showed clips of the evidence that was presented:
Online search for discount escort services? Searched on sites on how to kill someone with a knife (days before the murder), and the best was that HIS dna was found on the murder weapon.
He has a sh*t eating smile that smacks of contempt, not just for our legal system, but for the family he murdered in cold blood.
I hope that he gets life in prison, but in the general populace, no "special" considerations. If he isn't shanked in the yard, he'll be swinging from a shower.
Maybe he and the other POS that poisoned his wife with antifreeze can share a cell and compare stretchmarks after their welcoming and pillow party.
One maddening thing is that our legal system (in Mass) doesn't have a death penalty. Here are 2 strong cases for its application.

Where are you getting those figures from? Every dime that's spent on an indigent's defense in Mass. has to be approved by a judge. One of his lawyers, Stephanie Page, is a salaried public defender who makes a whopping $80,000 a year. Maybe a little more as a "Senior Trial Counsel". His lead lawyer is getting paid at the rate of $80 an hour. I somehow doubt that he's going to sneak a $2,920,000 voucher past the judge. That's a crapload of hours at $80 per.

I highly doubt that the trial judge allowed motions for expert/investigative funds to the tune of $2 million.

You pay a lot less than you think. You have a statewide public defender office of about 200 lawyers who handle most of the non-murder indigent cases in the Superior Court, who make between $45,000 and $80,000 a year depending on experience. Then, in the District Courts, you have a bunch of private practitioners called "bar advocates" who earn $50 an hour defending most of the indigent cases in the lower court. Up until about 2 years ago, they made $30 an hour. Massachusetts is among the lowest paying states in the country when it comes to compensating court appointed lawyers. Many states compensate private lawyers at the rate of $75 an hour, and in California, a senior public defender makes about double what they pay here in Mass. Private lawyers defending murder cases as court-appointed counsel commonly make $125 to $150 an hour in other states as opposed to $80 an hour here.

We can argue about whether Entwhistle is really indigent and whether we should foot the bill for his defense, but trust me--his lead lawyer is not getting rich off this case.

I agree that what he did was reprehensible, BUT he still deserves a fair trial and due process...

Fair trial yes, its in our constitution i dont disagree with that. But him getting off is what worries me the most. These days people take reasonable doubt to a new level. It is illegal for the cops and percution to plant or use fake evidence to make a case, but it is legal to use irrelevant evidence to caue doubt in the minds of the jurors. It must be a unanimus decision so one person doubting the man killing his wife and baby can set him free.

This is the exact reason they are placing the fathers DNA on the gun. So Neil's DNA and his dad's is on the gun, along with blood from the mother on the muzzle. Now the father has the alliby that he was at home or with someone, but Neil was "running errands" and has no recipts from any stores that can give his excuse and validity.

This is where we need someone like the Boondock Saints making sure these people dont walk the streets even if they are found not guilty in the court of law, and everything points to them doing the crime.

Excellent point Hulkyj...

I saw on the news that the defense is putting forth the notion that this is actually a murder suicide case but the gun was not found beside Rachale's body.

Hmmmm, now there's a trick

No--what would happen then is called a mistrial due to a hung jury. It would result in another trial, during which time Entwistle would still be held without bail awaiting that trial. A person charged with first degree murder in Massachusetts has no right to bail. Only a not guilty verdict would set him free. That ain't happenening. You can bet the mortgage on it. There aren't 12 sane people in the Commonwealth who would vote to acquit Entwistle.
