Tough day at Block yesterday

Did an annual 6-pack charter out of Pt Judith yesterday with college buddies. Our run of always l#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g out with good weather came to a screeching halt. Raw, blustery, pouring rain for 8 hours. No stripers anywhere, just huge bluefish (15 pounders), we could have caught 1,000 if we wanted. We didn't.

Switched to bottom fishing, all I wanted was some keeper sea bass. Nope. Zillions of huge scup and more than a few short sea bass.

Made some fish tacos with blackened scup, it was pretty good.

A long, challenging day, glad they're not all like that. I'd take up golf.
