WORLD LEADERSHIP??

America is abandoning Kurdish allies who stood on the front line in the years-long fight against ISIS.

that’s one version.

another version is that yes we fought alongside them to battle ISIS, and that ISIS has been routed from that region, and also
that trump ran on a promise to not commit to endless conflicts .

if the world owes it to the kurds to help them, and maybe it does, can someone else take a turn? what’s the UN for, exactly?

i don’t know if this is a good decision or a faithless betrayal. tell
me why someone else can’t take a turn helping the kurds?

i liked Mattis, and when trump
announced this withdrawal
months ago, i think it’s a reason why lattes resigned, which makes
me wonder about the soundness of the decision, mattis is seemed like a great leader.

trump also warned turkey earlier this year that there would be serious consequences if they invaded syria, has he backed off that?

I think it is bad, I do not agree with it but:

The Kurds (PKK in particular) have fought everyone for thousands of years

Obama shagted the Kurds
Bush shafted the Kurds
Clinton shafted the Kurds
Bush shafted the Kurds

Unless you called that out, all y'all ring a little hollow.

up?

you lead by example. I haven't changed. It's the Republican party that has changed although there is significant R push back at this.

My serious answer is that if we want to remain the number one global power and be a leader we need to stay true to our commitments and also be willing to use our troops when the time is right and most importantly use them to complete what was started.

US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a close ally of the president, called the announcement a "disaster in the making", saying he would introduce a Senate resolution opposing the decision and calling for it to be reversed.
The withdrawal represents a significant shift in US foreign policy and goes against the advice of senior officials in the Pentagon and state department
Trump has no clue what he is doing this is just another example .. and too think you thought Obama thought he was a King lol

last week you guys were dismissing graham as a trump pet. now he’s credible all of a sudden? so did graham have a point when he attacked the dems for the kavanaugh inquisition? or is graham only credible when he attacks republicans?

Wow you really dont get it do you.. even when R and D are on the same page . Seeing Trumps actions as ill advised. You still think he's getting picked on. Your A True believer .. your ability to blur a topic is unparalleled here

so republicans are right, but only when they break ranks and side with democrats. and it’s never correct under any circumstances, for democrats to side
with republicans.

is graham a trump pet?

you don’t get it. you don’t get how foolish it is to bash graham last week, and then assume
he’s credible this week because he agrees with you.

i’m not saying i agree with trumps plan here, i said if mattis and haley agree it’s bad, it may we’ll be bad.

it’s just funny when you embrace a guy ( graham) who last week you were mocking.

TRY seeing the world as an adult or is that to hard . many of us agree and disagree on many topics ... only you see an agreement today on a different topic, over yesterday's disagreement as some how abnormal .. it amazing to see .

Trump wouldn’t recognize good foreign policy if it jumped out of the bag of Cheetos staining his face and bit him on the nose.

I think it's pretty amazing we're in a situation where Congress is contemplating sanctioning a NATO member over a plan the Administration gave the green light to.

Let that sink in.
