Screws for giant jointeds and large pikies/surfsters

I am tying to make some large pikies and giant jointed copies and I'm having trouble sourcing the ss screws. Been to a few hardware stores now, going to give fastenal a shot.Should I be looking for roundhead screws to secure lips in place or should they be countersunk? I was thinking of trying these out, #4-22 x 1/2" Slotted Round Head Wood Screw, 18-8 Stainless Steel | Fastenal . Would #4 be the size to get or #2? Thanks in advance.
