one more

the top was just a bit too big for the braid, so it went el-natural.......which worked out well because the braid tends to mute subtle color changes......in fact one of the top two in the pic above was the same color, but you can't tell unless you look closely in good lighting.

tails are same stuff as above

i know the stripes on the bottom came out crappy.....i have improved since

I love your work Youngsalt

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Nice work.
The spoons have the hole in the back as you call it becasue they are designed to be "inline" spinner blades. Have you ever seen the long daisy chain spinners used to troll for salmon in fresh water?

First, i should've posed with the pics this is a jigman innovation.

I used 3/4" on these. If you buy it from a shop you should bring the plugs with you to size them up, if you can.

I do the nose like the jigman how-to (pics are missing now )

The braid is tied in now, with it going forward, in front of the plug.

if you put the sticker eyes on now you don't need to superglue them.

Then i 'reverse' the braid over the plug. Make sure the tail weight is in - i always seem to forget. then tie it tight to the wire in the back.

I then put some devcon CLEAR 5 minute epoxy (i've only found it in fly shops) around the belly, and the last 1/4 - 3/8" of the tail.

Once that dries i cut around the belly hole.......enough to put the grommet in. then i cut around the tail, same thing. If you cut too much off the tail, the the braid will not be covered by the tail grommet.

Then i do the tailwrap gently, to keep the epoxy at the tail from seperating from the plug (the more epoxy on the tail the less it wants to do that)

glue your eyes on, they don't like to stick to the braid very long.

then i finish them with two coat of e-tex to clear them
