WAL-MART

This was sent to me .
Subject: Wal- Mart vs the morons

WAL-MART VS THE MORONS

A very good and fascinating read....
Some Facts you should be aware of......

1 Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart every hour
of every day.

2.
This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!

3.
Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St.
Patrick's Day (March 17th) than Target sells all year.

4.
Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger +
Target + Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined.

5.
Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world's
largest private employer, and most speak English.

6.
Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world.

7.
Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and
Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in
only fifteen years.

8.
During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains
sought bankruptcy.

9.
Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store
in the world.

10.
Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of
which 2,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than
it had five years ago.

11.
This year 7.2 billion different purchasing
experiences will occur at Wal-Mart stores.
(Earth's population is
approximately 6.5 Billion.)

12.
90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of
a Wal-Mart.

13.
Wal-Mart has gross sales that total more than the
total revenue of all the countries in the world,
except 6.

You may think that I am complaining, but I am
really laying the ground work for suggesting that
MAYBE we should hire the
guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy.

This should be read and understood by all Americans
Democrats, Republicans, EVERYONE!!

To the President and all 535 voting members
of the Legislature, both parties.

It is now official - you are ALL corrupt morons:
a.
The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775.
You have had 236 years to get it right
and it is broke.

b..
Social Security was established in 1935.
You have had 76 years to get it right
and it is broke.

c..
Fannie Mae was established in 1938.
You have had 73 years to get it right
and it is broke.

d..
War on Poverty started in 1964.
You have had 47 years to get it right; $1 trillion
of our money is confiscated each year
and transferred to "the poor"
and they only want more.

e..
Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965.
You have had 46 years to get it right
and they are broke.

f..
Freddie Mac was established in 1970.
You have had 41 years to get it right
and it is broke.

g..
The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to
lessen our dependence on foreign oil.
It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a
budget of $24 billion a year
and we import more oil than ever before.
You had 34 years to get it right
and it is an abysmal failure.

!!!You have FAILED !!!
in every "government service" you have shoved
down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.

AND YOU WANT AMERICANS
TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED
WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM ??

YOU THINK YOU CAN RUN THE
AUTO INDUSTRY... THE BANKING SYSTEM?????

MAYBE WE OUGHT TO KICK YOUR EGG-HEAD
BUDDY BUMS OUT OF OFFICE AND
HIRE WALMART TO RUN THE GOVERNMENT ???

WALMART SEEMS TO KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS...
WHY DON'T YOU GUYS JUST ADMIT
IT'S WAY BEYOND YOUR PAY GRADE, AND QUIT?

"You can't fix stupid,

Centralization of power, ruthless division of resources for the "good of the state", lack of compassion for those ground up in the process.

Wal-mart sounds a lot like the USSR.

Come on Nebe, without companies like Wal-Mart you wouldn't have a single location to purchase from a limited selection of cheap crap produced in third world countries.

Instead, you'd have to waste time in and out of small business who are only able to cater to a local or specific needs. And since those people are closer to their products and customers they care about quality...and quality is EXPENSIVE.

And think of all those jobs Wal-Mart has sucked up and replaced with fewer lower paying jobs?

How do you deliver shareholder value if you have all that overhead?

You have a lot to learn about business, or America for that part.

It unfortunately seems to be the way of commerce, 'shareholder' value not product value

One area where you do see more focus on product value is the electronics industry. Moore's Law pushes the pace of innovation.

I think that's different though as Moore's law implies obsolence at the same it pushes the pace of innovation, so why make a device that can last 7 years when the lifespan will be less that 3?

I finally upgraded to a smart phone after 3 years, a milspec smartphone even I probably can find a way to break, but its going to be hard to do

Similar to the progressive continual transformation of the U.S. government into a centralized control and command system rather than the federalist idea of sovereign states forming a compact for mutual protection and cooperation.

Instead, you'd have to waste time in and out of small business who are only able to cater to a local or specific needs. And since those people are closer to their products and customers they care about quality...and quality is EXPENSIVE.

Sounds, again, like the progressive big government solution to our "problems"--efficient centralization rather than the cumbersome and often contradictory weilding of power from local representatives who are familiar with the specific "needs" of their constituents (who have greater power to influence their local reps than they do to influence the central gvt.)--the cheap one size fits all solution you seem to like, rather than than the greater quality of customized governance.

And think of all those jobs Wal-Mart has sucked up and replaced with fewer lower paying jobs?

Or think of all the jobs destroyed by centralized government regulation and taxation and myopic, diversty destroying plans to "help" the "people."

How do you deliver shareholder value if you have all that overhead?

You have a lot to learn about business, or America for that part.

How do you deliver tax value when you create a massive bureaucracy loaded with redundant, wasteful overhead, and you spend more than you take in?

yeah, I don't think any Walmart shoppers are being forced to stand in line waiting for toilet paper handouts.....or anything else for that matter, and I'm pretty sure we're all free to chose whether or not to get our toilet paper there....but a whole lotta Obama voters are standing in line waiting for stuff Now THAT sounds like the old USSR

5,000 Poor Dallas Residents Stampede Each Other In Race For 100 Housing Vouchers

Thursday morning, 5,000 Dallas residents in need of housing assistance showed up at the Jesse Owens Memorial complex early in the morning, hoping to be one of the lucky few to get a coveted spot on a waiting list for housing vouchers. Only 100 vouchers were available. This was the first time Dallas County had opened its waiting list since 2006, and applicants may have to wait at least two years to actually receive vouchers.

“Exhuasted” Obama Supporter Loses Her Job
Tuesday, November 23, 2010

Remember Velma Hart? The instantly likable African American woman who told President Obama during one of his ill-fated town hall meetings she was “exhausted” from defending him?

She now finds herself unemployed.

Housing crisis reaches full boil in East Point;

By Craig Schneider and Tammy Joyner

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Thirty thousand people turned out in East Point on Wednesday seeking applications for government-subsidized housing, and their confusion and frustration, combined with the summer heat, led to a chaotic mob scene that left 62 people injured.

must be frustrating standing in line hoping that a broke government will give you a handout...might be better off applying for a job at Walmart, at least you know that their checks won't bounce

If you don't think you are subsidizing Wallmart then stand and watch the line at register for 1 hour. I would be willing to bet 1/3 of there gross sales are on the taxpayer dime. They are what's wrong with America not what's right.
