I heard part of a Hendrix track on WMVY yesterday that I'd never heard before - it was excellent and I'm assuming it was from Valleys

Real anxious to hear the whole disc...

If you're old enough to have actually seen Hendrix play (like I did), then it's probably just Early Onset Oldtimer's Disease...

Gotta admit though, it's hard to believe he died 40 years ago......at the age of 27

Actually, I just got through listening to Valleys of Neptune - you can listen to it here for free: Lala - Where music plays

Some alternate takes of well-known songs and some newly released - excellent, I enjoyed it...

Although I do have to admit that I listened to it under the influence of Advil, my drug of choice these days...

Yes it is scary that he's dead 40 yrs.I was in boot camp when it happened.Saw him in the Bahstn Ghaaaden from the 2nd balcony....Talk about "purple haze".It was like Chatham Fog.

Friend's uncle was telling us about when he saw him play at rocky point. He said he was one of only like 50-100 or really small number of people there......
