Thumbs up blues in the bay

not the name of a blues band. two different schools of 3 to 5 lbers. have returned for their yearly destruction of tackle and bait.
water is 56 of quonset.
it's summer time boys and girls

I had something break not too far from me the other day that truly scared the shiznat out of me. Actually hesitated for a second to say WTF was that before I was able to fire off a cast. Didn't hook up but I'm guessing it was a big blue, (or maybe a big bass.) I'll stick to it being a blue because I don't like to think about missing a shot at a nice big bass this early.

The blues are small from what I've seen and heard. If there is something big crashing around it's probably a bass.

I haven't caught any yet, but the word is that the blues are small. I've always had a hunch that the big blues come in first though, mainly in spots like South Cape Beach and other beaches along the outer cape. Normally pick up big blues in the canal early too. I actually enjoy catching blues when they're around the 8lb mark and up. Can be a good time when they don't screw up your bass fishing.

My 1st SW fish of the season was a 5-6lb blue in Narr. bay May 10. A feat I hope never to accomplish again.

I caught way too many blues sunday late afternoon in the bay...There were small but not that small..all were 5-7 lbs. At least the ones I caught.

Lost alot of plastic before I figured out what was going on. Lots of bass jumping around with em'

i'm kind of glad that i'm not the only one who loves to catch the little devils.
a school o 10lb. + on the beach makes for a exciting day of fishing.
don't be a snob, enjoy yourself.
yesterday was my 4 yr. anniversary on the board. unfortantly for me, i will not live long enough to catch up to big fish on posting.

put them back alive. i do have grandkids.
