Brand New 1987 Mariner Outboard

Hi,I bought this 6hp Mariner Outboard two years ago from a man that had gotten it to use as a kicker motor, which he never did it just sat in his garage. He said it was only started by the dealer for a minute to make sure it started. The tank never had gas in it. I bought the motor put gas in the tank pulled the starter rope, the motor started before I pulled the rope halfway. I too was going to use the motor for a kicker but bought a new boat shortly after and now have no use for the motor. I am asking $1000 firm for the motor.
