Got Lucky

Finally got around to winterizing. I found some braid showing around the clip and pin at the prop. I immediately remembered an incident earlier this summer when I was on fish and another boat kept trolling too close, despite the verbal abuse I heaped on him. Eventually I realized he had cut too close and gotten his line below me and shut down my engine. Snap! Really let him have it, but he never looked back and motored away... Azzhat. So out comes the knife as I clear any line out of my prop. Obviously I did not get it all, or even a majority of it out. This was in the space between the prop and seal. No damage to the seal and lower unit checked out fine. No water, no leak. Very lucky in my book.
