What's up with the polyurethane looking drips on the metal lip?

I'd imagine that will go for at least a min. 90 bucks.

You'll find that on a lot of the older plugs as many used zip guard as a coating and humidity is a killer with that stuff. You;d be amazed at the number of custom rods in the beginning were coated with the stuff.Bob Pond used something very simmilar on the wooden Atoms smae with some of the Gibbs in the 50's an 60's. You find it a lot on ones given away for donations an such.-Blems as we cal them today. Still work great. Ron

scalloped Musso

I will be watching this one.
It will be a good indication of the market, as this should be a very sought after piece.
This pattern is a signature of Donnies.

My esnipe message said it went for 156. and change, so much for that being on the money, so to speak. I put in two bids and then quit.

Swimmer , The only place guys like you an me have a chance to get ahold of one of these is in a yard sale or from an old friend that can't work the surf anymore.I'm one of a small few with a glass eyed striper atom in the box and I've seen people bid over $1000 for one of them.mine came from Bob as a wedding gift long ago.People with mor money than sence drive the bids on stuff like this right out of sight. funny part is to watch a plastic Creek Chub Striper swiper go for over $100 when they're on sale in a catalogue for $5.96 LOL.Whoever gets our stuff is gonna be some lucky with some of what we use an the old timers we know.

There were 7 of them as the other 5 the eyes broke acording to Bob.I guess it was gonna be a new idea but was more work than it was worth. I try to get pics on here but they always give me an error message. One of the reason my posts don't have pics. When it comes to a choice of a computer upgrade or new fishing gear well the computer is on the level of a deck of cards.Bob told me he always did things in groups of 12 as it was easier to keep track or that way.I'll see what I can do as far as pics go.I'm not all that good with these things. my son laughs at how much i can screw a computer up.I've been working on some display cases so I can bring some of the stuff to the shows.more work to them than i figured as connecting the plugs isn't easy without hurting them.I'll see what i can do.Ron

If you can email pics, you can send them to me or many others. We will post them, or resize them and send them back to you so you can post them.

big money has entered the playing field and they're hungry even for the non mint plugage, which I don't understand unless they have a void in their collection....but one must understand that if someone for instance makes 1,000.000. a year and takes 25,000.00 to put aside for their hobby, their going to spend above and beyond an items true worth to get said item...when you put say 10 people doing this at the same time...pricing can only go one way....up........and plug collecting has alot of new players then before and the internet, where as there were only a few before an they had to travel to find plugs at shops,shows,etc.......
