25 foot webber’s cove by john’s marine in Maine

John’s Marine is apparently making a 25/26 foot webber’s cove in diesel and outboard configurations. 10’2” beam.

anyone know anything about these?

yes it is. i lost out in the steiger craft. just curious, i’ve always liked down east bulls, i like the tradition of them like the soft ride. but i don’t know a lot about these smaller pocket downeasts. i don’t think i could afford it, i’m just curious. i like the idea of a beamy downeast with an outboard.

Webber’s Cove makes a 26’, not 25.
I ran one one time on a #^&#^&#^&#^&ty day I would never consider taking my 28 BHM
It’s a huge 26’ (side by side it dwarfed my 28 BHM)
Like most downeast boats it’s great in a head sea but the 26 Webber’s cove is great in all sea directions (lots of downeast suck on a following sea)
Very good speed for a downeast also.
(18-20 knot cruise)

Inboard gas.
I’ll guarantee it’s a much different boat with an outboard
I would find one with about 300-350hp diesel, though a big downside is the engine box.

looks like they are actually making a webber’s cove 25. the 26 has the 10 foot + beam.

the 25, called the Coombs Cove 25, is a stretched out version of the webber’s cove 22, with an 8.5 foot beam. looks pretty sweet.

Yes
The 25 Coombs Cove is a modified 26 Webbers Cove.
Bill who started the Downeastboatforum is building one now as we speak.
He bought the hull & is finishing it at his house
