Thumbs up Bernzy's Surf Howdy...

Got my 1st 11 bass of the season today and 8 of them took Bernzy's Walk The Dog plug that I think he called the surf howdy. Anyway.. this plug has a walk the dog action unlike any other, while most spooks have a wide side to side action this plug stays pretty tight and looks... to quote Newelly and Tagger... "Pisssa" in the water... awesome plug. The fish were much less into the small poppers everyone else was throwing but they couldn't leave that thing alone!!!! Nice work (as usual) Bernzy

it's a Jigman.
Is there supposed to be any weight in a surf howdy?

Bernzy,

If this keeps up you may need to shop this out for production mode. This was one of those lures you look at and just *know* it is going to catch.

Everyone I showed it to responds in the following manner:
- they hold it upward to the light to admire the finish and profile as if they are offering it to the fish Gods,
- then a gentile...wow, look at that, will you?
- How does it swim?
- It has no lip?
- Does it work?
- It looks beautiful.
- Where did you get it?
-Wow, thats awesome.

I think fish think like fishermen, they like to see something new now and again and respond just like these guys do.

Bernzy is definitely onto something with that style of Plug!

Bernzy, PM me if you plan on selling any of these.

I got one for the Plug Project case, but I would love to throw one of these beauties in the Surf!!!

I broke mine out of its glass case and made a couple casts just to see how it swims, but then quickly washed it off in FW, dried it and returned it to its place of honor. It looks kewl in the water...1/3 needlefish 1/3 spook and 1/3 jerkbait.
I also tried a few other new lures...its going to be a fun surf season!
I picked up some more awesome looking Polski plugs in several different styles form some outfit in Wisconsin. They use these plugs for Muski fishing and they come with 4X hooks. They have no lip but they look simply awesome in the water...It looks like a real fish in touble the water. I don't know how they get it to swim without a lip but it has a very realistic wobble and gluides nice sub-surface. I cant wait to try them when the big girls show up in force.
