I think the rating is pretty accurate, maybe not 6 with muscle behind it. I did lob a few big shads with it though. I needed a 2 piece rod and picked this one up but its just not for me, i like a little more parobolic action. Its in good shape, a little epoxy cracking on a couple of the guides and a couple of scratches above the reel seat. I bought it for 200 last year asking 190 shipped 180 picked up. Can meet pretty much anywhere around Worcester or providence. This rod has got some serious balls to it. Spanked a couple low 20's fish at a B-way in record time on a moon tide.
