best time for sea bass trip in Buzzards Bay?

One trip I want to do with my son this year, is a spring sea bass trip in Buzzards Bay. Last year we went in mid-June, and it was a blast, but I believe the peak is usually before?

I want to time it right, even if it means pulling him out of school for a day and going midweek. So for those who know, what's peak time?

Glad to hear that. First week in June is out for me, so I'm looking at memorial Day weekend. Or I pull him out of school for a day.

Yup, make sure you look at when the season opens up and I would go shortly after it opens and you should have plenty of fish, good luck, have fun!

Pull 'im out! My Dad would take me to Dr. Saltonstall, Dr. Twinlakes, or Dr. Candlewood every year (unannounced). At least, that's what the permission note said.It was all about our healthy relationship. At the time,of course,I thought it was all about the fishing. Happy memories and warm thoughts to this day. Unk.

Late May thru late June are always good. Late season, October also but closed last year. What's proposed season this year?

Yes, but for pure catching and less company, you can't beat being out there in front of the legal opening. Oops I take that back, worst time to go, fish aren't here yet.
