Reels

As I took the reels off the rods I use most often, cleaned them up and stored them for the winter, ID the ones that need to be shipped off for service, etc, I noticed I have to make some room and unload stuff I have not used and probably will never use.
I am going thru all the stuff in my fishing addict and getting rid of my gear I do not use. While some of it is fairly recent gear, most of it is older gear in various states condition. Just about everything works though.

For simplicity, I am putting it all up on ebay. I will be putting up over 40 reels some conventional, some spinning, as well as some other stuff. Anyway I am just giving you guys a heads up. If you are interested in older fishing gear (mostly working and functional, some like new) you might want to check in once a week to see what is up. I will try to post a few items every couple days as time permits they will be listed for 10 days.

What is coming? A few Penn spinners , daiwa spinners, penn boat reels, from small conventionals to 6/0. ( I am keeping the 10/0's for bookends on my shelf) Several shimmano spinners baitrunners, etc. Nothing too high end. The highest end reel in the lot is probably a couple of Thunnus 6000F's that are like new.

Eventually I will have to unload a bunch of surf rods. But that will not happen until the spring and I don't know what I am going to do about shipping as they are all 1 pc 10'+ (excpet for 1, 2pc 13.5'er)

Niko, What do you want to do with it? These are basically good baitrunner reels. I used them for live eeling bass in Quicks and Nomans, squibby. They have a very good drag (intended for tuna) but the name thunnus is IMO misleading as they don't have the capacity for tuna (unless your engine is running and you don't mind chasing them down) Also, while they cast braid OK they are not great. The baitrunner mechanism is good though, better then most I have used. IMO if you want to chase tuna with inexpensive spinning gear go for the big Saragosa .

PM me your direct email if interested. They are in very good shape. I sent them in to Shimano twice for service, they replaced one completely so it is essentially new. Otherwise this will be on ebay in a couple days.

i'd be interested in a Daiwa spinner for my dad. He just got back into fishing and his 704(40yrs. old) has seen better days. Do you have anything comparable to that reel as far as size, he'll be doing mostly scup, tog, striped-bass, bottom fishing.

Yes there are 2 in the box... Both in good shape. I have not used them in a couple years . I think they each have extra spools, one mono, one braid but I have not gotten to them yet... I am off island, will get to it eventually. Probably within the week. Keep an eye open

That's a lot of reels....and just your excess!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.
