Any season long reviews on this? I was thinking of trying it out on a rod this winter. I thought CCTackle had it, bur I don't see it on the site anymore.

Mike, any reviews on it? How slick is it when wet, eel slimed, etc...?

X Tube

Did two rods with it last year. Worked real well for me. Had no problems with it getting slick at all. Liked it enough that I will be doing a few more rods with it before the season starts. Didn't sling any eels with them so can't give you any info there. Only thing to remember with X-tube is that it does not shrink as much as others do. Only get about 30% or 40% shrinkage, so make sure to get the right size.

Stuff works great only take note of the shrinkage as stated above. They claim 50% more like 30% shrink.
I squrt a little zap a gap down then heat up the tube and it works the Zap right down and out the end. if you go to wrap over it with thread and epoxy .The epoxy wants to pull back from the last few wraps of thread. You must spread out the epoxy while it is setting up. My case it's Aftcoat so about 3 hours.

stuff is holding up great and no complaints from anybody that has it.

The next rod I use the shrink tube I'm gonna try something different. I'm going to slide O-rings on the blank then shrink over, it should give it a nice clean even look and plenty grippage.
